Personality and the Presidential Candidates

Based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a personality test that determines inborn temperament types, we can explore leadership styles and tendencies of the three leading presidential candidates. Besides their voting records, through personality testing we can know a little more about the one who will reside in the Whitehouse someday.

According to the article What psychological personality tests reveal about Clinton, Obama, and McCain by Emily Yoffe, "Hillary Clinton is a Guardian, and her specific type is an ESTJ, what Keirsey calls 'the Supervisor'... Barack Obama—no one will be surprised to learn—is an Idealist. His specific type is an ENFP, what Keirsey calls 'the Champion'...John McCain is an Artisan, and his specific type is an ESTP, what Keirsey calls the Promoter. "

Well now, what does all that mean--Supervisor vs. Champion vs. Promoter when it comes to the type of leadership we could expect from each? More about that later.

Personality types of all kinds succeed or fail based on certain habits they've developed in their lives. Nothing worthwhile comes easy, but learning from others about what works is a blessing. Click Here!
